Family Dentistry for Kids and Adults
Magnolia Smiles Family Dentistry provides cleanings, checkups and everyday dental care for kids and adults at four offices in Magee, Purvis, Waynesboro and Wiggins, Mississippi. One office can see the whole family, from a child’s first cleaning to a grandparent’s new denture, Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
What a regular visit covers
A cleaning to remove plaque, tartar and surface stains
An exam and X-rays to catch cavities, bone loss and problems you can’t see
A gum check and an oral cancer screening
Fluoride and sealants for kids, to help prevent cavities
Fillings when a cavity shows up
Dental care for kids
Kids can see the same dentist as the rest of the family. Sealants on the back teeth and fluoride treatments help head off cavities, and starting visits early makes the dentist a normal part of growing up. Call your nearest office to set up your child’s first visit.

Family dentistry FAQs
How often should my family get dental cleanings?
Most people do well with a cleaning and exam every six months. Your dentist may suggest a shorter schedule if you have gum disease or get cavities often.
When should my child first see a dentist?
The American Dental Association recommends a first dental visit within six months of the first tooth coming in, and no later than the first birthday. Call your nearest office to schedule your child’s first visit.
What happens at a new patient visit?
Plan on a full exam, X-rays, an oral cancer screening and a gum check, and in most cases a cleaning. Fill out your new patient forms online before you come to save time at the front desk.
